In our opinion, the #1 family hotel in Phuket in 2021 is Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa, Merlin Beach
We were in this hotel in august 2021. It’s for sure a very comfortable hotel with a polite staff. There’re also many facilities for children. For example, big pools and waterslide.
A separate pool for babies who are 3-4 years old is also provided
There’re two water zones for kids. For children who can’t swim there’s a special zone in the pool.
This family hotel in Phuket has a kids club with nannies and a day program till 3 pm for your kids. If it’s too hot outside, you can sent your kids to nannies ( usually there’re 2-3 of them in one room; they paint, cook, mold with kids; the program is until 2-3 pm)
There’s also a playground and big chess field near a restaurant at this family hotel in Phuket. You can take a canoe and swim to paradise beach, it’s only 25-30 minutes canoeing. Rent costs 100 baht.
Number one best family hotel in Phuket in 2021 is located near Tri-Trang beach, there’re a lot of palms. The hotel is near Patong beach (3 km) and Karon Beach (5 km). There’re two free buses running from the hotel to city’s shopping mall in the first half of the day (you have to reserve places beforehand). There’re also two buses in the evening but they cost 200 baht for family. The taxi to city costs around 300-500 baht. That’s why we recommend renting a car
The hotel’s own beach with the purest sand, Merlin beach, is located between two rocks, exclusively for hotel guests (since there are no other hotels in the area). Sometimes there can be low tide, but this is not a problem, you can spend all this time in the pool or other places in the hotel.
We checked in and took a Superior room with a pool view (34 sq.m.)
The rooms usually have bathrobes and slippers, which is convenient.
There’re new air-conditioners, Thai-style furniture, bathroom: nice bath with large mirrors, telephone and separate shower, balcony overlooking the pool, direct dial telephone, TV with several satellite channels, and a minibar.
There is a beauty salon, sauna, gym, tennis court, and billiards.
The hotel has an entertainment program – a variety of theme nights are held.
